The County of Orange recently awarded $10,000 grants to businesses impacted by the COVID-19 virus. Businesses had to meet at least one of three criteria:

• The business was forced to close.
• Sales from the business were down 25% or more than compared to the previous three months. (Prior to March 1, 2020).
• The business had to lay off at least one of its employees (full or part-time).
  

The Chamber is happy to report that almost 50 local businesses received $470,000 of very badly needed money to pay for rent, utilities, insurance, accounts payable, etc.
